“It’s tough to stay married. My wife kisses the dog on the lips, yet she won’t drink from my glass.” ~Rodney Dangerfield

A close friend has a ten year-old son who lately has had a problem with chapped lips. She got him a couple of tubes of some medicated lip balm, the kind where you squeeze out a bit of stuff and put it on your lips.

Being a ten year-old kid, he lost them. He told mom this the other night, and she said something to the tune of “Just look around, I am sure they are here somewhere.” Nothing else was said.

Nothing else, until this email from his teacher today …

Staff and myself are growing concerned about Steven’s “lip balm”. I noticed him using it yesterday and other staff noticed it last Friday. We saw it again today. Apparently he is using a brand called Monistat. In fact he has two of them. He has been using them on his lips. I (along with other staff) advised him that it isn’t what it is being used for but he continues to argue with us and claims that you guys gave it to him for his dry lips. If that isn’t the case, please let him know to discontinue with this brand.

Lips are lips, no?
