Let’s get some things straight …

There appear to be a couple of beliefs out there that need some straightening out …

First, contrary to popular belief, I am decidedly NOT a “mommy blogger.” Yes, I may be a mom and a dad to Pearlsky, but I am a “single daddy blogger” as far as I know. Except for that brief period in college, I have not had many gender issues … 😉  But the point is … well … I am on a “Top 50 Mommy Bloggers on Parenting” list here. I have lots of questions about that site / list, but what the heck, I don’t look half bad in a house dress …

Second, I would be (am) proud to be a mommy blogger.

Third, I only allow really really best friends to take over the comments in my blog, write a long blog post within my blog post, and then demand me to respond to the topic! So, yes, Ken, you are still my bff, best friend forever, in this blog world and the next! Ken left this comment on my last post, and then touched on the same topic in his post today, here. The topic basically revolves around the fact that with some of these kids, there is absolutely no feedback, especially emotional feedback. I will never hear a child of mine tell me “I love you.” I will post on this shortly, and I have touched on it in the past. Tough stuff. And now for a non-sequitur … a lot of this stuff is tough stuff. There is actually a second name to this blog I bet you did not know … www.ToughCrap.com but I don’t advertise the fact …

Mom had a doctor appointment today with her primary care physician. She and Dad used the same one for a gazillion years. He was the last doctor with Dad in the hospital three weeks ago. So why was I up a lot last night knowing Mom was going to him for a regular checkup today?

Now to work on that post for Ken …
