Personally, I much prefer Dr. Gene Tuskin …

Just some follow-up stuff …

There was a lot of concern about Pearlsky’s safety with the head nurse issue, since I probably pissed her off terribly and she was in a, shall we say, defensive position. My comrade-in-arms wrote a wonderful email and added “Your e-brethren and sistren are concerned.” All of the comments and emails are very much appreciated. The truth is that at no time is Pearlsky alone with any one person, least of all that woman, the head nurse. Her aide is always there, as are others. As for me? I have a license to carry, I’d love her to hassle me.

I finally got a notice in the mail today that the Public Protection Office has initiated an inquiry and has assigned a compliance officer to investigate the head nurse. I believe I mentioned that I sent the original complaint to them with ten pages of supporting documents. Today, after speaking to said officer, I faxed her an additional fifteen pages, including names and contact information for others who will collaborate my charges.

I bet that will ratchet up the situation! (Get it? The pun, you get the pun, right? “Ratchet” up? Nurse Ratchet? Come on people. Now you understand the title to the post! Do I have to put fins on the arrows, folks? (why did I say that?) Oh, go google.)

Mike recently found this blog. I don’t think he has one, or I’d link to it. He has left some comments and sent me an email …

His daughter is just over a year old. Her first day of life she was “perfect.” The next day he was “setting landspeed records getting our perfect little girl into an emergency room, terrified out of my mind.”

Our long run result has left us with a much happier result, and for that I thank God and some absolutely epic medical care.

Those long days, where all you can do is stare at your baby, this little person made from a little scrap of you hooked up to more tubes and wires than a person should see in a lifetime, and wonder ‘Will she ever wake up?’ ‘If I blink, will I miss something critical?’ ‘If I sit down, can I get to her fast enough?’…

All the while trying to help a woman who is going through exactly the same thing on top of having just delivered this baby…

God Bless you sir, for being what a Father should be.  Thank you for sharing your story.

Just found this blog, and this post… this post I understand.

I wish more people understood, but I sure don’t want them to get there that way. Obviously I appreciate his good words for me, but I think the email says a lot about him. I hope to post on something he touches on, about his wife (probably a safe assumption), “going through exactly the same thing” … hmmm, I don’t know. As he says, the child just came out of her, that changes the perspective tremendously I think, yes, going through the same thing, but differently. But he is showing great empathy, the one thing in my book that makes people great.

Mike seems like a cool guy, we can forgive the “God Bless you” … 😉  Does the holy one, blessed be He really bless the same people He messes with when He’s bored? Thanks for stopping by, Mike, and please, keep commenting!

Maura Kelly, a blogger for Marie Claire (a woman’s web site / magazine) just trashed fat people on her blog while talking about the show Mike & Molly, a show she has never seen that is about two overweight people who meet at an overeaters anonymous meeting.

So anyway, yes, I think I’d be grossed out if I had to watch two characters with rolls and rolls of fat kissing each other … because I’d be grossed out if I had to watch them doing anything. To be brutally honest, even in real life, I find it aesthetically displeasing to watch a very, very fat person simply walk across a room — just like I’d find it distressing if I saw a very drunk person stumbling across a bar or a heroine addict slumping in a chair.

Um, wow? Personally, I think 80% of fat people are stupid, but not gross. But then, I think 80% of skinny people are stupid. Average size people? Yeah, stupid. Nurses? 95% stupid, but only 30% ugly, 22% gross. Social workers? Can a percent be bigger than 100?

Personally, Maura, I’d be grossed out if I had to watch two bloggers kissing each other … well, maybe not …

She apologies and tries to explain as an update to her post. But, I gotta tell you, she sure is a closed minded piece of work. I wonder what she thinks of retards? Probably doesn’t have a mirror …
