And then there was one …
Social worker, that is. One that I could, I guess, like.
You absolutely must read this. Seriously, if you will ever deal with a social worker, read it. I’ll go so far as to say, if you ever want me to allow you to read my blog again, go read it! She is in our community, she is a social worker, and she exposes it all! (That was to get Ken to read it.)
Nice. It’s an impossible situation.
DAMMIT…no boobies…grrrrrrrrr….
I’ve read her blog a few times since you “introduced” us to her before Aria was born. She usually makes very good points, often points that no one wants to admit are true but are eerily accurate.
(I’m just not a huge fan of profanity so I don’t read her too often.)
That leaves my blog completely out of the question then…
There SingleDad goes again pimping my blog.
I just think it’s important to remember that everyone is human and, at least in my experience, no one has been able to offer me support in the perfect way (social workers, doctors, spouses, parents, blog buddies, etc). I think for the most part social workers have the best interest of you and your child at heart they just might not get it. How could they?
In response to the profanity remark: I am a huge proponent of appropriately placed profanity. I find it to be a sign of intelligence and class. So there. 😉
I wonder if social workers in Canada have a little less power. I am not certain. In any case, we’ve had three…in the early years. Two were awesome, one was just useless. And Rachael….love profanity…such fun. My father is spinning in his grave about me I am certain.
I realized why I really like the social workers at the nursing home where I work. They have no real power. (Thank you, Rachael, for bringing up the issue of power. And thank you for outing yourself.)
