You know what I hate … ?
I hate when an anonymous blogger, in his or her anonymous persona, puts up an anonymous blog about an important topic and then people comment that the blogger has no idea what it is like to be the parent of a severely disabled young lady when in fact the author of the comment has no clue who the double secret author of the blog is, and their comment causes them to come across as a numbnut because, in actuality, the double anonymous author of said blog not only is the single parent of a severely disabled young lady, said parent has two such children.
So there.
Or here.
SD just chalk up the “anonymous” to stupidity…and let’s face it stupidity makes the world go round.
Btw when you say so there are you blowing raspberries? Just saying the emphasis would really show them! So there ; )
I need a Venn diagram to make sense of this post. I know that you’re adept with technology, so would you mind?
As for the Ashley treatment, my gut says it’s barbaric, but my gut thinks removing parts of the human brain is barbaric as well —
You have another blog? Wtf? You leave us hanging over here? Kidding don’t ever change pal . Love your blog ( not a fan of blogs in general ) ( its just not me ). But I can relate on many levels all that you and your readers comments . Perlsky has many fans … On a side note if you are from mass e- mail got to get you and Perlsky in to baseball miracleleagueofma.com just a guess pal .
I could not help but visit that site and view the pics of Ashley. She reminds me of Hannah. We just started Hannah on premarin, which is estrogen. She has not pituitary, so all hormones are synthetic for her. Our endocrinologist is well aware of this “Ashley Treatment” and strongly against it. I had to mention it to her, and she explained how it’s just not a practice that is even considered at our Children’s hospital. She also sort of said they have had Parents in favor of it. I can’t imagine. It’s hard enough letting them start my baby girl on estrogen. Yucky! I’m trying to be ready for all this.
I have a profound dislike and distaste for anonymous bloggers and anonymous commentators. I blog on quite controversial issues with my real name and contact; reciprocity means I expect and tolerate only the same. I only once posted on someone’s blog using an assumed identity and fake IP address because they blogged about the “personhood” of my son and I vehemently challenged them (so they blocked me)…so I posted as a nice elderly lady from England with a UK IP address.
Very well done, Single Dad. That should be required reading for anyone contemplating any sort of intervention to make care easier.
