Quick diversion

what were you expecting? More USA readers, or less?
Friday might have been a tough day for US readers, trying to bail on work early for the extended 4th weekend.
What happened yesterday, “error establishing database connection”? Any idea?
Doesn’t surprise me. Your story is universal.
Hmm, I would have thought it’d be more of a time zone thing – evening reading time is always more popular than morning, especially on a weekday. Also since the internet is borderless and people who aren’t from USA greatly outnumber people who are, it kindof makes sense. I’m from london and my friend who linked me to the blog is from sydney…
did you have a good 4th 🙂 ?
Ed: Not sure I was particularly expecting anything. As for my last comment on the post, that was probably because of the independence holiday and I was watching fireworks when I wrote it!
Most of the readers are from the US, Canada and UK, but there are lots of others. I put up the [translate] button after noticing a lot of Slovakian visitors due to someone writing about me on a forum there.
Marissa’s Dad: My server decided to be pissed at me, not sure why. I needed to reboot, but will investigate this week.
Note that the displayed snippet of visitors is somewhat unusual, I grabbed it because I have not noticed such a small grouping of so many diverse locations.
I love the blog world. My favorite visitor, whom I don’t know, is from Sri Lanka? And then there was the stalker guy who used Linux and was from Alexandria, VA — he/she visited for days and left comments on my posts that were distinctly NOT patriotic. Weird.
Alexandria? That’s close to me. There can’t be that many Linux meatheads in Alexandria.
Time to call CSI!
I suspect that the London one is me, but I’m actually 195 miles away in Manchester.
