“The Extreme Parenting Video Project” ~Elizabeth and Sophie
Elizabeth had this great project, asking us to submit a photo of ourselves holding a poster board with advice we would give to a new parent of a severely disabled child. The result was this video.
I worked with Elizabeth on a variant … the images in book form. Note a couple of things … if you are not included, you can be at any time, just send me a high resolution photo, if you are included and want to be removed, just send me an email.
Once it loads, hit the “Full Screen” at the right side to see it better or to “View single page.”
In light of Pearlsky’s birthday on Sunday (20!) and mine on Monday (xx!) I will be posting more. I need to tell you about the OT moron, our first gynecologist appointment today (yeah, mine too), and other stuff.
It’s good to hear back from you SD! I missed you! 🙂
I miss my favorite blog .. Where the hell have you been. . ? Alright it’s the only blog I read . Happy birthday Perlsky . As well as you SD .
Hi SD. I’m the medical student that delurked on Elizabeth’s blog awhile back and asked for advice from your community… Anyhow, I did as you “dared” and read your blog, start to finish… It took awhile but I’m glad I did. Thank you! I have learned more about wheelchairs and IEPs here than I ever did or will in medical school, classroom or clinic. You are an amazing advocate for your daughter and she is truly lucky to have you.
Wishing both you and Pearlsky a very happy birthday and the best in the upcoming year.
Happy birthday to you both….I hope the year brings good health and many happy memories!
Thanks for sharing thins. Hope you’re doing alright. 20 is such a big birthday- congrats!
..happy belated to u both:)
I wish the happiest of birthdays to you and to Pearlsky — you’re both in my thoughts all the time.
Happy Birthday to you and Pearlsky…may your days be awesomely purple 😉
Thank you for showing the slide show. Five years into our journey with Hannah, and I know we are still getting the hang of all this. When Hannah finally did wake up from her induced coma back in 2008 Doctors told us “it is going to take a long time.” we thought they meant for Hannah to get back to normal. What they meant was it is going to take a long time to adjust, accept, and move forward. I miss that little girl even though she is still with us. We have adjusted, but so much is changed. Happy b-day to you guys!
Happy Birthday to both you and Pearlsky! 🙂
The music video is superb, but I really like the book form too. Good job!
Happy birthday to you and your girl!
Nice job and Happy Birthdays to you both from your tardy friend.
Congrats to all on a worthy e-book.
Celebrating your lives from afar.
I love this! and the pic of you and your girl just made my heart melt. Much love from afar xx
