“In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.” ~Thomas Jefferson
One of the smartest, most astute, intelligent and wonderful readers of all time just sent me this in an email:
I’m doing a post on dads for Father’s Day on why dads of kids with special needs rock, with quotes from amazing dad bloggers. Aka you. Game to share a quote? It can be as long or as short as you want, it just needs to explain why you rock. 🙂
Obviously this woman knows a star when she sees one. Or she doesn’t read my blog … but anyway …
To those other dad bloggers that read here, why do YOU rock? And those dad’s who don’t blog, what about you? I know there is a part of all of us that believes we suck, whether we are a dad or mom. It just varies in how much we actually think we do suck. But all of us do get it right, at least sometimes. And if I keep writing the word “suck” we will get some great web searches finding this post!
I am NOT soliciting any comments about me, etc. Sure, feel free to give me a word or hint as to why I potentially rock, but this post is not about me, we leave that to my new best friend’s post on Father’s Day! I will link to it in my usual “Why I hate father’s day” post.
Rock … Me … LOL … ROFLMAO …
Ah! I will be sure to note that you hate Father’s Day. Looking forward to hearing responses!
You rock MY world that’s for sure…
I know you just forbade me to do this:
YOU rock because you recommended Nature’s Miracle Stain and Odor remover. I have two barfing kitties and the carpet looks like knew. It also removed a very sketchy 20 year old stain on a seat cushion.
Ethel Mertz? Oh that is just an effing awesome blog name!
I know I rock, but you got to give the dads a break, you are intimidating competition as far as special needs fathering goes.
