“Life is like the blink of an eye. What is that worth? Nothing. But the eye that blinks–that is something.” ~Chaim Potok
Tuesday, mom and dad fall. Lots of pain in her hip, mom’s x-ray and CAT scan showed nothing. Thursday, still in pain, she gets an MRI.
Friday morning she gets a call to come to the hospital immediately. Emergency surgery is scheduled for Saturday, if the hairline crack they found continues, she will need a full hip replacement, if she survives the break. They need to pin it.
So I make a deal with Him. If mom does not make it through surgery, He is going to have to deal with me and Pearlsky coming along as well.
He blinked.
Thank God. Thanks, God.
Ack. My sympathies, SD.
I wish your mother a complete and speedy recovery.
Hang in there. This too shall pass.
You are good ‘sandwich’ meat – know when to make a deal and thankful for the results. Adding wishes for a lot of support so that you are not squeezed to the point of dealing your life(ves) away.
Sending positive thoughts and well wishes to your family. I hope your mom comes out of surgery with no complications.
Yes. I’m sending you love and luck. To your mother as well.
SALUDOS AMIGO:DESEO DE TODO CORAZON QUE PRONTO TU MAMA ESTE E SANA.

Poor mom! Praying for a speedy recovery and thankful they caught it before it became a big hip disaster.
