Blood is thicker than water

Advocating for my kids is not something I set out to do. Hell, I’d love to have kids where such actions are not necessary, believe me. Yeah, some advocating is always needed, but you know what I mean. Some people are easy to go up against. They are naturally pukes and putting them in their

Seize her

I am really trying to get more information as to what happened at David’s residential facility the other day. I know he had a significant seizure while in the school and I know that an aide or two literally ran with him in his wheelchair back to the residence, from the school. Yesterday I learned

“If you’re trying to kill us, at least let me put on some lip gloss.” ~Fran in the movie “Rollercoaster”

A day in the life. Today. I do a lot for people and have found that few return the favor. That is fine, just a fact. Let’s face it, how many people would really be there for you? Although this was light-weight, it was really nice. As it so happens, when a goddess could use

“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.” ~Albert Einstein

I found the comments on the last post very interesting. I have to agree with Erin; the months after David was born and I needed to come to grips with the realization that not only was he, too, severely disabled, but that I would most likely never have a normal child, were a very difficult
